I don't use e(x)hentai because the quality of the doujins are much lower when viewing it through the app. Are you experiencing something similar on your end? I compared two same doujins in the app: one from exhentai and the other from nHentai and the latter looks a lot better.
Not that I noticed any difference. Although these days I only read on my phone, and I don't have a tablet. So more than likely whatever scaling or quality served to me has a phone level of limit.
E-hentai (Biggest Library)
Nhentai (E-hentai backup)
Hitomi (has a lot of original uploads that E-hentai doesn't have)
3hentai (Fastest in terms of loading, at least for me)
I only read doujins so these 4 are enough for me, most other doujin sites just rip straight from E-hentai so they're not worth adding
