States rarely care about anyone. But this meme is diminishing the genocide in Gaza by saying "look what those other guys did". I believe the internet word for this kind of propaganda is "whataboutism".

I see, so you have Russia speaking three times to China's one here, and conflating the Soviets propping up a socialist satellite state with genocide because every time you kill a Muslim it's because they're Muslim. And of course the modern Russian fascist state inherits the sins of a defunct state that collapsed nearly 40 years ago.

Gonna be real, this is a pretty bad take from the specific evidence being used even if the overall vibe is right. Like Americans and... Literally every European colonial power aren't allowed to criticize Israel either with this logic, you know? Or the Uyghur genocide for that matter.

Or is that the goal here?

I have never once down played the genocide, and routinely post about it. So nice try.

What I am downplaying here is China and Russia's so very genuine and deep concerns for human life.
