Congrats everyone! No matter how much or how little you accomplished, it's a heck of an undertaking.

A round of applause to everyone! I'm happy that this year I've managed to get back my writing spirit, and this NaNo was a great success. Absolutely looking forward to next year being even better!
Between a late start, a crazy work schedule, and some old bad habits, I really got off track for a bit. But I'm proud to say I pushed through and finished. I'm so relieved to finally stop just thinking about doing this and actually participating this year. My sincere appreciation to my wife & family and this community. Having this group was genuinely essential for keeping myself moving forward.
I just saw the leader board - wow! You really did push through! Amazing work coming in at the end with a bang!
Well, for me, a health struggle was ultimately got me to get my head in the game even more here. To be frank about it, it's like essentially doing something silly only to have a savant disorder of some sort. I'm an autistic savant myself, skilled in quite a few different things (so is my producer, Neigsendoig, who's also an autistic savant).
We both have an IQ of about 120 or so (that's our guess, anyway), so it makes sense for me to pull something like this off.
Edit: It turns out that my heart issue was pericardum inflammation I was dealing with at that time, but it was still very concerning for me regardless. I've had it for years, though.
