I really don't think it can be anything other than dead bodies or human body parts given that reaction.

Carol we wish You a great day, and remember, we will move heaven and Earth to make you happy.
Oh I for sure agree! I'm wondering if it's specific organs or body parts, given that Carol didn't flinch immediately after lifting the tarp? But then they should be somewhat recognizeable as human and not of any other animal...
Yeah, that delayed reaction is what's throwing me. I'm hoping it's not bodies since that's too obvious. I also didn't catch if that was a drive-in freezer. It looked like a regular warehouse, but I'll have to rewatch that part. If it's bodies they should be smelly after 8 days.
It is for sure a freezer: she shudders just after going in (another example of the exceptional visual storytelling) and everything is covered in a white layer of ice.
Oooor the reaction is not specific to what it is, but more about why? Maybe it’s something dull, making her think a while about why this would be there, gears turning in her head, until she suddenly realizes why this thing is there?
Nice, I like this! Would fit very well in how the storytelling goes in this show. She really has to think about it for several seconds, and then the realization and terror come.
While it fits with the scene almost as well as the body parts theory, I haven’t got the slightest clue what it might be that in itself would be puzzling, and only be frightening when coming to the right conclusion. And of course it needs to fit into the whole cold storage theme.
