The family member was ~~an ex sister-in-law~~ Leavitt's brother's ex-fiance, who was in the middle of a custody battle over their 11 year old son. So, pretty damn convenient for him. Leavitt and Co's response has been indifferent to the exes situation. Only feigning care the 11 year old boy.

As if she's going to care. These people have all sold their souls for this. Sacrificing a family member for "the cause", is more of a badge of honor than anything else.
