He once mocked a reporter with cerebral palsy. That alone should have been the end of him as a candidate, but somehow his followers were just fine with that. So they're probably just fine with him being abusive to women.

It's pretty well known that he raped Ivana during his first marriage and that he has publicly talked about both his daughters in crude sexual terms. So yeah, he was and probably still is a monster at home.

Yes, they're fine with it - because they don't consider disabled people, women, black people (or any other PoC), non-Christians, well, the list goes on, as "people".

And making fun of non-people is perfectly okay.

That's correlation, not causation. If it were causation then 'they' wouldn't be fine with him making fun of able male white christians and he treats those people shitty as well. There is a reason they are fine with it, but it's something else i reckon.

Oh, it is causation though. You're just forgetting an important element - namely that Dear Leader can do no wrong. If he's making fun of a seemingly person person, then Dear Leader must know something that brings this somebody below personhood, therefore is right to make fun of them.

The most screwed up thing is that doesn't even matter, because its old news. Decades of lying and controversy (predating his political candidacy) somehow... don't meet the attention threshold for algorithms? Is that the phrase?

It's especially weird because I have older relatives that knew way more about "pre politics Trump" than I did, and now all that is forgotten somehow.

There is no somehow. The media has normalized his behavior the entire time.

They are all complicit.

Well if we do a roll call for women in his life.

  • His current wife won't even kiss him
  • His oldest daughter he wants to fuck and hopefully actually hasn't but that's up for debate
  • His younger daughter doesn't exist to him
  • One of his past wives he actually did rape
  • random little girls in child beauty pageants have had him walk in the changing room. Something he said he does regularly when he uses to host them.
  • I realized this list would go on forever and I'm ending it.

Don't forget having multiple underage girls come forward (semi-)publicly about him raping them...

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 12 points 4 months ago

also alone with a trafficked minor for hours alone in Epstein house

[–] MountingSuspicion@reddthat.com 12 points 4 months ago

Don't forget the woman he was found liable for sexual abuse against in a court of law.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 11 points 4 months ago

Also remember that there are photos of people in his vicinity grimacing snd holding their noses due to how bad he smells

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 9 points 4 months ago

Hard agree with on correction... he raped one of his wives that we know about. I think we can assume all

[–] FahrenheitGhost@lemmy.world 33 points 4 months ago

Anyone surprised by this behavior has not been paying attention. He is never held accountable for any of his actions or words. Until that changes, we can expect more of the same.

Alicia Machado, who gained fame in 1996 for being crowned Miss Universe at the age of 19, had claimed that Trump called her ‘Miss Piggy’. The Venezuelan-born model claimed that these remarks came as she'd put on some weight after her win, BBC reported.

Machado also claimed that Trump had threatened to take her crown after she gained weight. “He was overwhelming. I was very scared of him. He'd yell at me all the time. He'd tell me: 'You look ugly' or ‘You look fat’. Sometimes he'd 'play' with me and say: 'Hello, Miss Piggy', ‘Hello, Miss Housekeeping’,” she said, as per BBC.

He's said some very creepy things about women in his family in public as well.

No. He’s not “weird” or “deplorable”. He is a convicted rapist and pedophile hate-monger who is actively destroying the United States (and beyond) out of spite and greed for himself and his friends.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 8 points 4 months ago

The best adjective for describing Trump that I have found is "replusive" combined with the emphasis "utterly"

[–] Cybersec@piefed.social 4 points 4 months ago

That’s…. the definition of deplorable, which is “deserving censure or contempt”. He is so bad he should be silenced and reviled.

[–] huppakee@piefed.social 2 points 4 months ago

You can be a convicted rapist and pedophile hate-monger who is actively destroying the United States (and beyond) out of spite and greed for himself and his friends and weird and deplorable though.

That'll do donkey, that'll do
