The Basque Country beat Palestine 3-0 in a friendly match in support of the people of the oppressed nation.

I really don't understand why Spain can't have a similar setup to the UK in terms of international football teams. It's obviously political, but both Catalonia and the Basque Country can field some seriously competitive teams that could have a real shot at playing big tournaments.

UK setup is historical.

Spain will probably never allow Euskadi and Catalunya to have their own teams as this would weaken the Spanish team and could be considered as support to independentist movements.

Edit: as a Barcelona fan, I'm not sure how good it would be for the team to not play in LaLiga anymore but being limited to a potential Catalan Liga
