Brand spend millions to get their name in the face of people. Because, it works. You are not convinced to buy this brand, no. You just get used to it, so the familiarity with the brand make you more likely to purchase it when you see it

If you put a brand name on a forum. It is a paid advertisement. If you didnt get paid, you're a tool.

Isn’t this doing the same thing? Just propagating name branding?

with intend

The goal of the community is to highlight all the passive ad we consume and propagate. Hopefully next time you see that brand, the familiarity with the name will not be reassuring but a reminder how they highjack our brains

The reason is to get the point across that it was assembled from parts and not just moved into the room

Yeah, definitely part of the storytelling. Saying it was from IKEA means that they spent a good chunk of time assembling just for it to be blanketed when he was completed.

Ironically Hyacinth would insist that you know where the sofa was bought from, except in this case she wouldn’t say it’s from Ikea, but that it’s a “custom made import from Sweden.”

Hyacinth: “It's my sister, Violet, the one with the Mercedes, sauna and room for a pony.“

Hyacinth: “If there's one thing I can't stand, it's snobbery and one-upmanship. People trying to pretend they're superior. Makes it so much harder for those of us who really are.”

When I hear Ikea I think cheap and labor intensive.
