Who would have thought...... A party whose leadership rose to power on Thirdway politics decided to compromise yet again. These dinosaurs still think it's the 90s, when reaching across the isle to avoid congressional gridlock was seen as leadership skills.

Now it's blatantly obvious they're just shaking hands with the fascist that their proclivity to compromise allowed to rise to power in the first place.

I actually got a fundraising phone call from those traitors yesterday.

Heck, they don't even have to break that promise in any way. They'll vote "no" and move on, promise fulfilled. Or, if they wanted to really troll, they could vote "yes" in a slim majority and plan for Trump to veto it. It's an incredibly empty promise.

They would need a 2/3rds majority to bypass needing the president's signature, which they clearly won't get. So even if it passes both the Senate and House somehow, it'll still never happen.

It's worse than this. Even if the vote did happen, the GOP has a majority in the house and the senate, and Trump will never sign it.

Everyone close to or under the poverty line gets fucked now.
