Unfortunately, some people are incapable of admitting that they were wrong. I think a lot of the people currently complaining about the outcome of their own poor, cruel, stupid, malicious choices won't change at all.
Still, while the whole world is on this sinking ship together... I'm glad these fucking morons are at least suffering along with the rest of us.
Fortunately, we don't need the whole Republican base to admit the error of their ways and do a complete 180 on everything. Even just a small portion shifting towards the center and being open to messages from the other side that promise to fix the problems they now recognize as being caused by Republicans would be a huge victory. And even those who refuse to learn from their mistakes will likely become less enthusiastic and more likely to just stay home.
And of course, there's also the far more malleable independent / undecided voters that will be much more likely to turn on the incumbent party when everything is turning to shit.
Literally the only way these tricked republicans will change their behavior

Seems like a lose/lose/lose situation for the GOP. Closed government makes their voters realize they're reliant on government for food. Opened government without Medicaid subsidies makes their voters realize they're reliant on government for healthcare. Opened government with Medicaid subsidies makes them look weak for having put the country through this

This is why the time around they're going for the blitzkrieg. Said many times that Trump cannot gain voters, only lose them. To get Project 2025 in gear, they have to move fast before people realize what's going on, what prices we'll pay. They're flooding the zone to keep our heads spinning, and this time the flood isn't mostly bullshit, it's real shit.
I have to wonder how they get past the midterms. People on here say they'll rig them but that's just not feasible for the same reasons it's idiotic to believe elections were rigged against Trump. They're going to have to find a way to call them off entirely.

The current theory is that they're pushing people hard enough to cause rioting so they can declare an emergency and use emergency powers to make sweeping arrests, halt elections, take over Democrat states and basically do whatever jackboot thuggery they want.

They say they're struggling, but that's doesn't mean they're not MAGA. Until we see the House and Senate flip to a supermajority of progressives, these people are still begging daddy to step on the snake.
I have seen MAGAts insisting that Trump couldn't possibly be on the Epstein list or it would have leaked by now. So, it's being held back for no good reason at all, apparently.
