I'm looking at a hexbear post of a screenshot of Twitter post by Ted Cruz replying to a quote tweet by someone I've never heard of quoting a tweet by dsa replying to a tweet by "unity of fields" do I have that right? dafoe-horror

[–] SickSemper@hexbear.net 23 points 5 months ago (1 children)

To make it even worse, I believe Unity of Fields is what was formerly known as Palestine Action US, but I could be wrong

[–] AnarchoAnarchist@hexbear.net 51 points 5 months ago (3 children)

Ted Cruz only commented on this because he was taking a break between MILF videos.

[–] Wakmrow@hexbear.net 3 points 5 months ago

It's not 9/11

[–] stink@lemmygrad.ml 50 points 5 months ago (1 children)

One of them wasn't even FUCKING jewish he was a german christian in it for the love of killing brown people.

[–] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 31 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Even if both happened to be Jewish, what would it matter? The motivation was that they worked for the genocide embassy, not their ethnicity.

[–] TheBroodian@hexbear.net 7 points 5 months ago

It wouldn't matter, it's just fun to be pedantic

They have been calling wimpy social fascism "insane" for several decades now, we gotta start breaking their brains with the real shit now.

[–] john_brown@hexbear.net 38 points 5 months ago

Five years ago the right was calling everything "soy" and now the soy right is ascendant

What is this writing style it’s so condescending, why would anyone want to be talked to like this.

[–] Chana@hexbear.net 19 points 5 months ago

It may be the most online person in existence. Even more than us!

They cheaped out and got the model that only generates contrastive reframing. Proof that the distillation of human text output is "don't believe your lying eyes"

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 15 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Christ, literally every single thing it says is based on the awful "it's not x, it's y" tic.

[–] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 11 points 5 months ago

Wow, at least 4 times in that short tweet. jesus-christ

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 21 points 5 months ago (3 children)

Red Star is also pretty cool afaik

[–] Chana@hexbear.net 21 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Blackredguard tried to join but they applied their usual standards of wanting people to have a track record of OTG organizing work first.

So he joined this other caucus lol.

It is probably a bit if a better fit anyways since Liberation Caucus at least self-labels as MLMs. Red Star has Maoist influence but is more ML.

[–] thelastaxolotl@hexbear.net 15 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I think he is a founding member

DSA is basically a microcosm of the US left, as a whole. Socialist Majority Caucus are the SuccDems, Groundwork are just SMC with ecological characteristics.

Bread and Roses has historically been the main center caucus, with a vaguely reformist trot flavor, and the left wing of the org ranges from proper Trotskyism, to ML, Maoism, Anarchism, the folks in MUG who have a hard on for the pre-WW1 Second International, and others, I'm sure

[–] Drewfro66@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 5 months ago

MUG is alright too, at least the local guys

[–] SpookyBogMonster@lemmy.ml 7 points 5 months ago

Isn't that the Maoist Caucus? I know people here like to dunk on DSA, but it's internal dynamics are this really interesting microcosm of the Western Left, as a whole.

There's a caucus for every left tendency under the sun, it seems ~~except Posadist Caucus. Hexbear DSA entryism to start one~~
