My review

I've had it for more than I year, use it daily.

What I like about it

  • Glides smooth on surfaces
  • Good tracking
  • Long battery life
  • It has a horizontal scroll wheel

Why I hate it

  • I hate that it needs the special Logitech software to work properly
  • It takes a few seconds for the software to pick up and apply configurations each time it's connected.
  • The scroll wheel works inconsistently, often when scrolling fast, it doesn't pick up movements precisely or at the beginning of scroll it doesn't scroll at all. And this is not just me, I've seen others talk about this problem on MX Master 3s
  • Doesn't work with a cable, it's wireless only.
  • It's expensive garbage.
  • Bunch of BS unnecessary features

The worst mouse I've had. I wish I hadn't purchased it and I don't understand why so many people like it. That's it.

I like the quiet clicks, because I click a lot at work. The 3S is great for that, but the clicking mechanism inside is trash. I've gone through FOUR of them in the last year. I keep buying them used to avoid paying high prices, but shoot had I been buying new I'd probably at least get to RMA it once or twice.

Tried a supposedly similar mouse by Keychron and it was terrible, unfortunately. Feather light and cheap feeling.

Same experience here. I too bought Keychron M6 and have the same opinion, it feels like a supermarket trash device.

I now have 4 Logitech mice, two went through RMA for failing buttons, the other two failed outside of warranty period. I know that I can fix those myself, but I'm also too lazy to do it. I'm not buying another Logitech, but I also don't know what will I buy next time.

Logitech would be great if it weren't for its software. I got one of their mechanical keyboards and the keyboard was awesome hardware but then I had to deal with the software which made the keyboard useless and so I just returned it. Aside from that when I ordered the first keyboard I did happen to get one that was already open box and used but I blame that on Amazon.

I'm never going to buy another piece of Logitech hardware again just so I can avoid their awful software.

10/10 would return again.

I party agree, for the price it should behave more consistently. There are almost no other options with good ergonomics and a side scroll wheel and the software is a chore but also has some useful features. I think as of today there could be a couple better contenders maybe by Keychron? The scroll wheel is actually really good once get used to.
