Would it be so hard to have a "photo day", at the beginning of the campaign, with a hired photographer (maybe someone who does school pictures?) who would be the same one for every candidate (so there can be no favoritism) and who can already demonstrate that they know how to take pictures of different skin tones successfully?
Also, who's the genius who decided that a photocopy was required, in 2025? I can understand maybe if the photo was just meant to keep a paper trail of some kind, but if a picture is meant to be electorate-facing, at least make it so bonne of the steps will degrade the quality.
