My distant friend is posting these pictures to prove he shocked his dog after I sent him a clip of him showing the collar, and id like to at least convince them that he is in fact not shocking his dog, common sense arguments that make the very event improbable dont seem to work, so can I get some valid arguements against the collar being a shock collar (despite him saying and showing the collar itself?)

bad points

Even if the model is the one your distant friend is saying, (1) the prongs are removable and (2) that e-collar doesn't "shock" the dog unless you crank it up pretty high. It uses a tech similar to the stimulators humans use on muscles (NMES or TENS machines). It's not like sticking a stun gun to the dog.

I'm going to be honest though: my guess is that he probably was using he prongs and that Kaya didn't yelp because of the collar. These sorts of collars are used by some trainers to train your dog to walk off leash (you are only supposed to turn it up high enough that your dog feels it, not that it hurts). There's kinda bro science/bro science adjacent dog training YouTuber who uses these and frankly Hasan loves bro science.

thanks, never thought of the prongs being removable, does (2) refer to shock collars or vibration collars?

Shock collars.

Also, your distant friend is just going to say that he removed them before showing it on stream, FYI. That's what all the dgg/h3/zionists are saying anyways.

Here's a video showing changing the contact points on the collar and that there are still two screws sticking up out of the collar.

I'm sure they will just saw that Murrat helped him cut them off or something.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Because that's what all the unhinged haters on reddit were saying today.

Id just tell them its not up for debate and they’re objectively wrong, and not further engage with it.
