I feel like this would be a big loss for women's wrestling overall.

I can see good and bad in it (and to be clear, I don't want her to go).
She's a star, and could go all the way in WWE with Hunter pushing her. She's also done pretty much everything in Stardom already with how strong Rossy pushed her and inside Japan, anywhere she goes right now is a side-grade at best.
...but we know how WWE is and I'm waiting to see a full year to by under TKO without talent layoffs before I go full optimism mode. She could 100% get the NXT-star-to-main-roster-drizzling-shits treatment with a layoff and return to Japan.
What I'd like to see is NJPW get off their expansionary asses and start working on that long-hinted-at deeper integration of the rosters so joshi get even more shows, but even tho we know its an idea they're looking into, Giulia will probably be goddamned dead before it happens.
the NXT-star-to-main-roster-drizzling-shits treatment
Is there a list of signings that hasn't suffered that fate?
I feel their petty "nobody is bigger than the brand" mentality won't be going away any time soon. If you made your name outside the company they'll find a way to gimmick you out eventually, and Hunter doesn't seem to have the final say any more either, which doesn't help.
I spotted UFC rolled out a new show that was literally WWE's "Table for 3" a few days ago during Fight Night: Almeida vs. Lewis, so the corporate playbooks are definitely getting shared internally at least, but that's probably not in the plus column for Giulia's decision board. WWE booking with UFC wages would be a sorry state altogether.
NJPW's US expansion has been impressively embarrassing, literally them just booking B-talent for half-arsed house shows, and they're always so poorly produced. Instead of loads of average events, I wish they'd put on like three or four huge "Historic X-Over" type pay per views over the course of a year, and then start building out touring dates from there.
I personally don't want her in WWE, either. Mainly because I don't watch it anymore. But an unfortunate truth is that it's likely the only company that would properly feature her to a wide audience.
I don't want her in AEW unless they (TK) can get over this "one match division" horseshit.
I'm in the same boat. I weirdly want and don't want her to sign with AEW.
A little off-topic, but I hate that TK blames WBD for the lack of women's wrestling but then only schedules one women's match per PPV. I imagine he has full control of those cards and still chooses not to book women's matches.
100%. He knows what he values, and so do we. Hence why the 3 main shows get 1 women's match each, and ROH their pseudo-development show that isn't on television gets multiple a week lol
Presumably the money would be the main thing, but I don't get what else Giulia - or Kairi for that matter - would really get out of it. She's already a world champion.
ugh triple h is horrible for women's wrestling. granted not that tony is much better these days but at least he lets them also work elsewhere.
Yeah I'd rather Giulia have an AEW contract with the occasional match and doing indie rounds like the others than going to WWE and be used periodically for 5 minutes...and maybe eventually being made to dress up as a Samurai Pizza Cat or fucking something for 3 years with no indie possibilities.
Gonna be a ride seeing where she ends up, if she leaves at all.
to be fair selfishly it's mostly cause i'm never gonna get bt sport :(
I'm a pirate bitch but even I'm not going out of my way to spend my ratio for a 3 minute Giulia match on Smackdown lmao
they already burned me once by bringing back tegan and dakota and doing nothing with them :(
