It has been a while since I have gotten to go to a proper show so me and a buddy went to see Jeff Rosenstock last night in Houston at White Oak Music Hall. They killed it, the show was great.
I wanted to pop in here and just say, I love the people in the punk community and I am happy that you all exist and you are doing what you are doing.
All three bands said some version of Fuck all the bullshit out there, and those who keep it going, look out for your neighbors and the good people in the world, protect those who are marginalized, and put good into the world. Have empathy for eachother, its critical now.
Thank you all for being who you are, thank you for picking people up in the pit(both the mosh and metaphorical one), for making sure people feel welcome and included, thank you for giving words to the feelings we have, and thank you for reminding me that there are like minded individuals out there who know the world can be better than it is, and for doing the things (big and little) that they can to make it better.
That's it, also my legs fucking hurt from moshing but it was worth it.
