Why the fuck are Americans putting up with this shit?

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 months ago

Because half of us don't even know what's going on and the other half can't get time off work.

I work 6 days a week without sick pay, PTO, or any other benefit. I am barely scraping by. I can't take a day off. I bet there are a lot of people out there like me. If I was time rich I would be freed up time with nothing left to lose.

Wait till these people don't have jobs anymore. That's far more dangerous. Once they take the ability to provide, shit gets desperate. And desperate people are wildly dangerous. In a nation with more guns than people, that's doubly true.

Then ABC took Jimmy Kimmel off the air.

[–] Cypher@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has nothing to do with Jimmy Kimmel.

Wait I thought you were joking.. they actually did

[–] BrokenGlepnir@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wrong ABC, but he doesn't know that.

He made veiled threats towards Australia over the questions. Trump knew which ABC it was unlike most of the people failing to read the article.

Clearly you didn't read the article either, because the journalist asking the questions is Jonathan Karl who works for the US ABC. You are talking about a completely separate incident and entirely different questions, and you would have known this if only you'd bothered to read the article or watch the embedded video.

EDIT: It's bizarre that you did this in multiple threads as well.

Did he know? He said he won a lawsuit against them. Has he ever sued the Australian broadcasting corporation? Maybe it was on purpose or maybe he somehow merged them in his head.

Edit or I'm wrong he was merging them and it was American ABC? Or... I'm not sure there's just way more untruths going around this go.

The person who replied to you had no idea what they were talking about. You were correct the first time.
