~~Okay, um, what did that 36-sec video have to do with finding life on Mars? Did I miss something? It just said that NASA wants to colonize the moon, which will help us reach Mars.~~

~~What's with your "aliens" clickbait title? Edit that out; this isn't Reddit, unless you're trying to drag Lemmy down.~~

Never mind, I think I'm not getting the hang of Lenny's layout yet still..

You do realize that NASA held a press conference on it, right? Feel free to click on the actual article for the full vid.

The first lines of the article: NASA has announced the discovery of what it believes to be ancient microbial life on Mars. The new administrator for the space agency, Sean Duffy, said a sample collected by the Perseverance rover has been declared the 'clearest sign of life' ever found on the Red Planet.

Feel free to look at other news sources if you don't like this one.

NASA legit said "this is the clearest sign of life on Mars" at the press conference--which is where the article title came from. If you feel NASA is clickbaiting you, please write to NASA directly.

Many news orgs are reporting on it.

Wait, you linked an article? I only see a 36-second video here; my bad.

Yeah, you click on the title and it takes you to the actual article.

Wow, okay, yeah, I'm seeing it in a browser but not on Summit. !summit@lemmy.world is really screwing up here; I'll mention it there, thanks.

~~Read the actual article, which has more parts of the news conference, including where they actually mention the Mars finding. It's the entire point of the news conference.~~

No worries. Glad ya got it figure out!
