Bouncer: Aren't You too old to be hanging around clubs?

Lol. I got ID-ed at a winery once. It was in the fall so it was cold out and I was wearing a hat and jacket. I guess I have a young face? I pulled off my hat to show a full head of grey hair.

People have dyed their hair gray to appear older before, any server who accepts that would lose their serving license lol.

The idea of a teenager dying their hair grey for this is hilarious. Especially for the times where it doesn’t work.

I have seen kids with dyed gray hair but it never has that real gray hair look

That’s because it’s silver, it’s a style instead of attempting to scam alcohol.

Can you lose a license for bad ID practices? I would've thought you'd have to sell to an actual minor to face consequences, no matter if the checking you did was good or not.

Yes checking for ID is a requirement of your serving license/certificate, not doing it can cause you to lose your license. Trends are huge, in Canada you can get in trouble for not IDing people who look 40.

Oh that's interesting. I think it's different in the states but I'm not sure.

A bartender once accepted as ID the fact that I was singing along with TLC's Waterfalls.

My total once came to $19.95 and the cashier jokingly said "good year". I mentioned how it snowed a lot that year and caused the local middle school to collapse. I went on about how the town changed a lot since then.

The cashier hesitated for a moment and said "I wasn't born yet". Suddenly, my hair all turned gray.

That was about 10 years ago now

Ouch, that's rough. It's like you can hear your own bones crumbling to dust.
