It'll be incredibly funny, and sad, if this became a trend. We'd all be trying to escape to the middle east to find good, progressive (or at least liberal) policies that are proven to be better.
The people, yes. They're trying to paint the government as repressive (which isn't unjustified).
Yet their government listened to the people here, whereas ours don't.
