Most of the fun is that people actually wear the shirts out in public. If it's AI then it's more like a comic strip with a funny shirt.

What if the picture is from a real person wearing the t-shirt, but the t-shirt design is AI slop?

Then that's fine. As long as it's a photo of a person in public. As opposed to like a preview image from a make-your-own-shirt website and not even a real shirt that exists. I don't know if that aligns with the purpose of this sub though.

Well. That’s unambiguous.

The wording of the poll is designed so that everyone will vote no.

The problem is that AI opponents will think it means "no AI generated images" but AI enthusiasts will think it means "only high quality AI generated images". It might be a good idea to clarify what the rule means before people get upset.

Just change "slop" to "generated".
Less derisive. More clear.

It either makes absolutely no sense or is like the most explicitly biased referendum wording I’ve ever heard…

No one wants “slop” but it seems likely “AI slop” is meant to be anything GenAI?

Creativity is a huge part of quality.

Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't want to run the risk of manipulation of the poll.

What would have been your vote though?

[–] Steve@communick.news 4 points 4 months ago

Would've voted No. It's less funny when the shirts aren't real.

That site has some clever but evil ad placement. Went to click the “View results” button and it changed before my finger tapped it to a Reddit ad and took me to Reddit. Gross.
