Mabuhay at maligayang pagdating sa Lemmy! 🇵🇭

A fediverse community for the Philippines and all things Filipino!

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

That’s quite progressive for a predominantly conservative country.

Also, this post is a one day old… does that mean this community is abandoned after all? Is there hope for revival?

The country is, but some cities have gender-inclusive laws. Quezon City was one of the first to initiate a safe spaces act, SOGIESC, etc. way before most cities.
