Stop Killing Games:

The consumer movement to stop game publishers from intentionally destroying older games with kill switches.

The goal is to reach 1 million signatures in the EU so that the european parliament will respond to the initiative that then leads to regulation that requires end-of-life plans for games to stay playable.

Well, that’s good news… would that also make older games work or would it only work for newer games?

Even if it becomes some sort of law, laws like this are never retroactive and usually have a couple years adjustment period until they take effect.

The potential legislation will only apply in saving future games from death row.
