Rules:

  1. The mods are fallible; if you've been banned or had a post/comment removed, please appeal.
  2. Off-topic posts will be removed. If you don't know what "Leopards ate my Face" is, try reading this post.
  3. If the reason your post meets Rule 1 isn't in the source, you must add a source in the post body (not the comments) to explain this. If the reason is in the source but is tedious to find (e.g. in a lengthy video), you must add an explanation for where it is.
  4. Posts should use high-quality sources (for a rough idea, check out this list), and posts should retain the title (if one exists) from works like news articles, videos, etc. You may (but need not) edit your post if the source changes the title. (If you're only using an excerpt from an article that's otherwise not about LAMF, you can use the quote in the title.) Other types of posts should have a title which accurately, relatively neutrally describes their contents.
  5. For accessibility reasons, an image of text must either have alt text or a transcription in the post body.
  6. Reposts within 1 year or the Top 100 of all time are subject to removal. Within moderator discretion, this doesn't just include reposts of the exact same media but also includes e.g. a secondary source telling basically the exact same story as another that was already posted.
  7. This is not exclusively a US politics community. You're encouraged to post stories about anyone from any place in the world at any point in history as long as you meet the other rules.
  8. All Lemmy.World Terms of Service apply.

Edit: Appreciated, OP, and espscially appreciated for adding some variety with non-US news. ❤️

Conservatives Against Racism for Equality

Bear in mind that these are British Conservatives, who are aligned more toward the US Democratic Party than what an American would consider "conservative". They also have a black leader.

So what? India's current prime minister is from so called lower caste (community working in trade of oil pressing) and he's got no problems aligning with a brahmin supremacist organisation.

In a Black History Month debate in the House of Commons in October 2020, she reiterated the government's opposition to primary and secondary schools teaching white privilege and similar "elements of critical race theory" as uncontested facts.[171] ConservativeHome readers voted Badenoch's speech on critical race theory 2020 "speech of the year", in which she said that any school that teaches "elements of political race theory as fact, or which promotes partisan political views such as defunding the police without offering a balanced treatment of opposing views, is breaking the law."

She also doesn't care about colonialism as well.

She's got 'fuck you, got mine' mentality just like all other conservatives.

Now go look up how she even got British citizenship in the first place, and what she says about asylum seekers and immigrants. Hypocrite of the lowest order.

It comes after Amankona, co-founder of Conservatives Against Racism for Equality, [...]

You can't make this shit up.

And then they came for Uncle Tom, and there was no one left to speak for him.

I will say the dude joined about the same time the broadcaster was created, so it is reasonable to accept that he didn't know where he was getting into.

Nah, we all knew very early on that gb news was meant to be the fox news of the UK.

If you're joining an organisation that took Andrew Neill off the screen in its first week of broadcasting for being too left wing, and replaced him with Nigel Farage, you have to have had your head firmly in the sand if you don't realise they're right wing nut jobs.

He's also a regular at the Conservative cool aid fountain, founder OF LGBT Conservatives
