Losing Saka for a good chunk meant we were always going for 2nd. When we lost Gabi a few weeks back, I thought we'd be holding on for dear life at 4th.
I don't see this season as overly negative, given where we are now, especially given:
- Myles Lewis-Skelly exists
- Jakub Kiwior has been phenomenal
- We literally beat Real Madrid 5-0 on agg (Saliba's OG doesn't count, cos he was just trying to get Madrid to give him a contract offer, so Arsenal will double his wages next season).
- We finished above City
