Honestly I’d be incredibly impressed if he did, and he’s already exceeded expectations this season. Lando is a weapon in a car he feels comfortable in and it feels like this is a car that really suits him.
Piastri has already shown pace and racecraft this year and will have a decent F1 career, and could be championship caliber in the right car. Next year will be the big test if he can close the gap to Lando.
Yeah, if we're just going by the last two or three races one might even say that McLaren has the best driver pairing after Mercedes! Before that it's hard to judge because the car was such a dog. Super impressed by Piastri.
Wasn't he actually saying that the car still doesn't feel right but it's going the right direction?
