Holy shit. I can't watch this.

I have magpie pics but I/my house are in them. One shows a magpie chilling about a metre from me and not afraid.

I’ve stopped feeding them anything now because they’d begun approaching me and it’s probably good they stay cautious of humans. (And don’t start to depend on being fed.) Just the water dish now.

Cat stuffOh shit, I’m calling it. She still has the uti. I’ve given her some extra meds and will be taking a sample in tomorrow. I already got one intending to take it in today but mixed up the days

Kitchen stuffI washed/rewashed all the dishes myself last night and even cleaned out the cutlery drawer and washed the bits of the stove. I didn’t have energy to dry stuff or do the rest of the kitchen so I let everything dry on the dishrack/a towel overnight.

Thankfully I haven’t seen any more roaches since I set the borax baits so hopefully they didn’t come for a sip of the drips. shudder

When I put the stove covers and racks back and put away the dishes I can either make some dairy free custard or finish cleaning the kitchen.

It depends on if I think I can handle the custard. My stomach has really been hurting.

Garden stuff

The zucchini have like 3-4 fruit now. The cherry tomatoes are starting as well.

Only one of the Jack be little pumpkins has sprouted. I didn’t treat it any differently from the golden nuggets so maybe it comes down to freshness. Maybe I might plant a few more.

I’m wondering if I can be cheeky and double up with two plants in each 20 gallon grow bag, and put the jack be littles in the 30 cm pots. Spare ones could go in the ground.

Edit: Wow Bunnings charge like a wounded bull for delivery

I've been doing sewing repairs for the young seagoons and it's really hard. Much of their clothes are specialist hiking clothes and made out of hitech fibres, fibres that are hard to sew. Stretchy dense fabrics and the actual material of the fibre is hard and difficult even when using a special hardened needle.

I still have not made the custard or finished the big kitchen clean.

Money/gardenHowever since the big green shed wants to charge me more in delivery fees than I would pay for the actual potting mix - I bit the bullet, yanked out as much of the grass from a small spot as I could and dug out a hole to plant 1 (one) of the rapidly embiggening golden nugget pumpkin seedlings. We’ll see if I’m able to do any more (and if it lives) but I planted that one.

Yes, I shouldn’t have done that, I risked really injuring myself and will be exhausted and hurting for days. But my thriftiness lent me strength.

I also took the chance to take some fresh dry soil samples which I should have sorted a long time ago. If I can’t get to the post office myself I’ll see if I can print a prepaid postage label or give someone money and ask them to send it on their way past.
