Downloading this 5.5 MB image would take 10 hours (in ideal conditions)

The drawback of being early is that every BBS you connected to still had 300 baud, so it didn't matter for a while. But when you did match up with another 1200, it felt like warp speed. The only thing that ever beat it was the jump from fast 56k dial-up to cable modem. That was insane.

Yeah I remember this being the case when u first got my 9600 but most warez boards were still 2400

I forget which YouTube personality i saw that showed these off but those looked rad when I saw it. A bit pricy.

I had this literal model. I don't think there were many options, so probably most people who had modems had them, but still.
