For devices with joysticks I typically use a case because I feel like they are going to get snagged or damaged but I've stopped using them for devices like the GXD Pixel and the RG35XXSP and I find I'm using them more often and getting my moneys worth of out of these devices.

I've also never been a big fan of those belt clips or holsters.

Mostly raw. I don’t carry them around that much though

What handheld do you bring with you when you do travel with one?

R36S (caseless) and a Steam Deck (in a TomToc case) on the last time!

Have you had any issues with the sticks getting caught on things with your R36S?

No, I didn’t. They’re pretty flush with the device and I don’t carry a lot of things they could get caught on in the same bag or pocket.

Nice! Wasn't sure if you would need something similar to the low-profile 3D printed sticks people were making for the RG350 to prevent it from catching on little lips of pockets.

That seems like a nice solution!

I have a few retro devices.

  • Pistation (basically a mini playstation 1: I modded the case with a exacto knife in order to fit a "Indiedroid Nova" in it)
  • SF2000 (SNES Controller with a screen, only plays older games though. Like before n64.)
  • GPi case. (A game boy with a cartridge slot. Supports Raspberry pi zero. I also have a cartridge that supports the RPi 4 compute module although idk if you can still get it.)
  • Modded PSP
  • Modded 3ds XL
  • Samsung Galaxy S24+ ( I might buy a Gamesir X2 Wireless controller for it. )

Those are ones I have off the top of my head. I don't remember if I have other ones.
