Would a kind soul please let me know if the transcription attempt I made on this post is okay and what needs to be improved. In any case I can try transcribing the more simple comics and hopefully some volunteers feel inclined to transcribe some of the other ones :D
I think it looked good.
Late to the party, but I think that fit the scene well.
I used ChatGPT 4o to write this. It can “look at” images. I had to ask it to describe the second man. And tell it the “boat announcer” was speaking, and it wasn’t a sign.
You can talk to it conversationally, and correct it and ask for changes really naturally. I bet once in a while you might run into something that baffles it. I only tried this example.

OUTBURSTS OF EVERETT TRUE
DRAWN FOR THE HERALD COURIER BY CONDO
(Panel 1)
Boat announcer speaking: The next boat for Oakland Pier connects with Train Number 21, for...
Two men are sitting on a bench. One man (Everett True) is large and wearing a dark coat. The other man is small and dressed in a light-colored suit with a hat. The small man is staring intently at a third man.
(Panel 2)
Everett True: It's very plain, mister, that the man sitting opposite has lost an arm, and it's plain also that your staring annoys him!!! Why not ogle me?—I've lost my temper!!!
Everett True kicks the man in the light-colored suit off the bench. The man is thrown to the ground with his hat flying off.
This is swell! Is it alright if I paste* these into the post body?
Sure!
