Hi, I create videos to educate others on living more with nature instead of from nature. Anyway, I currently pay for Epidemic Sound. I only use the songs from a single band for all of my videos. So, Epidemic Sound is getting a lot of money for a dozen songs from the same band.

I'd rather pay the artists for their work than Epidemic Sound. But I don't know where to start. I'd like to find something like the songs by Wanderer's Trove to use for my videos. I don't mind paying as much as I do with ES. I'd just rather it go to the artist than a corporation. Any advice on how to find such songs without going for a subscription?

Thank you!

PS: I really hope this is the right community for this question. I don't know much about music or music production at all.

This is probably super obvious, and you already tried, but I have to ask, Is there any way to contact them outside of ES? Does Wanderer's Trove have a site, social media, etc.? If so, do they post any contact information like e-mail? If you get ahold of them directly they will be able to direct you to where you can buy their stuff without a third party if there is one.

I have not been able to find contact information for them. But I also don't care if it is their songs or something in the same style, so other artists would be totally fine.

Thanks, I'll see if any of them are actually similar (to my ears) and have contact information available.

Yeah I have looked myself. With how little they have out there I wouldn't be surprised is their ES contract does not allow them to have any independent audience interaction. I mean there doesn't even seem to be a source saying the names of the musicians.

Yeah, I assume you are right about that. Which really just makes me want to find a way around Epidemic Sound even more.
