but how do I upload a gif then? The image loses it's animation when uploaded. The user has to click the image, open it on another tab to see the animation, not all users will do this and they'll think it's only a static image.
Please upload it to imgur or directly
but a direct upload makes the gif lose it's animation, that's the point of my post
Yeah that is an issue with lemmy. Choose any other serious image hoster and it should work.
