I have been waiting for this badboy to arrive. It is said to have 6mm planar drivers in it and it pretty much handles like an etymotic. Actually, that is the main reason I was instantly sold. You can even push em deep (but does not need it), has foam, double flange, special thingy to keep it in your ear. Easy to drive, very sensitive to EQ.

On the other hand, for most people it was kind of meh for several reasons. I dont know whether I jumped the gun on buying it. We will see.

From what I've read and what I understand about planars, they are extremely easy to equalize. I can attest to that since I've been playing around with my s12s and a parametric equalizer. They took the adjustments like a champ and more sub bass gives the music much more depth. For that matter, the added air over 15k does the same.

I was actually deciding between the S12 and the P1 Max.I hate waiting so I got the P1 Max as I could literally get it that day. It is pretty weird to equalize. The bass is all over the place. I think if a track uses certain frequencies, the beat will have a weak bass, in other cases it hits really hard. Could not really figure out a way to fix it. Could probably try out some tips.

Im still kind of deciding on a dac/amp because P1 max is supposed to be a lot better on more power and the S6 will require a "good" dac/amp because it is very sensitive. If I could get my hands on a Quedlix 5k for just a bit cheaper then it is with all the extra costs, I would be happy.

But I also found a pretty good offer for ifi go blu, same price as quedlix 5k. It is theoretically the king of power output. I kind of want it, but it sometimes hisses and have to use the meh android PEQ programs. Im not really sure on that.

If you have any idea on this, I would like to hear it. :)

Qudelix 5k. 109 on Amazon. It has a PEQ and a GEQ and enough power. You can get plenty of autoeq settings from squiglink online. PEQ opens up brand new possibilities with iems.
