What benefit would this have over some of the tools I already have?

I know neither you, nor the tools you're using, your gaming style, adventures you prefer, people you play with and great many deal of other variables the answer to this questions relies upon. All I can say is that different people prefer different tools and what some consider useful, other's don't and the other way around.

Does it export using the universal VTT file system?

Perhaps this will help:

I know neither you

That's why I provided further context as to what kind of an answer I was looking for, but if you'd rather not discuss the pros and cons of this system over others, that's fine too.

Don't get me wrong: I simply think that there's no need for such an discussion - everyone has his own approach, requirements, likes & dislikes in the choice of personal tools.

The best way is always to try something and see whether it "clicks". For example, plenty of people swear on Inkarnate, I find it total crap and would rather draw maps in MS Paint.

Well, I'm really sorry you posted an advertisement on an open discussion board then, because most of Lemmy is about having conversations.

It seems like a natural function of the rpgtools board to talk about the pros, cons, and comparisons of available tools since most people have neither the time nor inclination to spend on every single map maker that gets put on the market.

I put trust in everyone who visits this place, that they will find the time and inclination to try out the link relevant to their interests.

After all, it takes just a few minutes to visit it, register an account and see whether it's worth of any further energy investment.
