I'm actually 6' 4"
Small sedans are a bit uncomfortable sure but yeah absolutely wild. A little Nissan Kicks fits just fine
6'6" and I drive a Volvo C30. Most comfortable hatchback I have ever driven. My only problem with it is all the goddamn SUVs on the road making it impossible at times to see what is ahead of me or around me. It's an arms race to go bigger and I refuse to participate. Just waiting for the day a proper 2 door electric hatchback hits the market so I can have an electric car that is not a behemoth on the road.
6'2" smart car enjoyer reporting in.
Yeah, my little Kia Soul could seat a 6'7" guy in the passenger seat and still have enough room for an adult to sit behind him. Meanwhile I've been in trucks and SUVs that felt insanely cramped at 6'2". There are such things as little cars for big people and big cars only meant for little people.
I'm pretty sure all bro-dozers are meant for little men.
Yeah. Part of that is how the big guy is proportioned. My dad and I are the same height but sit very differently in vehicles as he's more lower body and I'm more upper. He likes the seat wayyyyy back compared to me so I have to mess with things if I'm picking up his car for him.
For myself, I drive a Civic and it's generally comfortable, but - and this may sound dumb - it's got a sunroof gives me a bit more clearance. If I close the shade on the sunroof, my head is barely clear of the ceiling at my normal seat position and it's a bit claustrophobic. Pretty much every car I've had since my teens has one and it often feels very different driving vehicles without.
Two vehicles may be the same height and overall dimensions inside but just the seat+steering can make a notable difference in comfort between body proportions.
I have a Fiesta, quite possibly the smallest American car made i the past 10 years, and it would fit a 6'4 person in the front OR back just fine (leg room would be tight in back but plenty of head room).
