One of these has definitely hauled more than the other, and i guarantee you it's not the ford.

Not when those shitstains on the road actually kill more people and pollute more of our shared planet. Same thing for sports cars. If you drive something so unnecessarily dangerous and bad for our shared space and you’re not using it for it’s purpose I will judge you with no sympathy.

What makes you an authority on what's dangerous, bad or whether someone is using something for their intended purposes? Why are you so quick to judge others based on your lack of information?

Everything is dangerous if you go to extremes. Too much water can kill you. Too much food can kill you. Stressing yourself out over what others are doing will kill you or reduce the quality of your life at the very least.

It’s been proven that big trucks cause more accidents and pollute more heavily and cause city architecture problems because of parking and street size requirements. Seems like you’re lacking basic information.

Equating drinking too much water and dying to literally contributing to killing others or making their lives worse is the most stupid comparison I’ve ever heard. One hurts yourself, the other hurts other people.

Is that also true of buses? Garbage trucks? How about Limo's? 18 wheel trucks? Those vehicles are all larger than my truck but you seem to be fixed on trucks only. What an odd flex.

I've watched that YT video and it's junk science. Of course you believe it because it does support your opinion so you've succumbed to confirmation bias. Congrats.

It's only stupid if it doesn't align with your 'fuck trucks' ideology. The fact that you think dying from too much water only hurts yourself, is pretty ignorant. But that seems to be your thing.

I literally talked about sports cars being a horrible waste. Are you blind? Limos are dumb for the same reason. Unless they’re carrying a dozen people. Same with buses and trucks. I literally said “if it’s not being used for it’s purpose”. What else do you need? Not surprised you can’t understand a video, supported with sources, explaining things you can easily deduce yourself. The trucks use more fuel, fact. They use more space in cities and on roads, fact. They’re heavier and therefore cause more fatal accidents, fact.

Go ahead Einstein, tell me who you hurt by drinking too much water. You kill some kid playing in the street by drinking too much water? You cause some elderly person to develop lung cancer because of your pollution? You causing a homeless person to be without housing because you need to park that giant, useless thing.

Use your brain, one time.

[-] Oderus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I love how your reply is nothing but 'more angry'. You need to chill my dude.

So Limo's are dumb, unless driving a dozen people. What about a one-way trip? Buses, depending on the time could be empty, or mostly empty. Is it stupid to have a bus with just 1 person (other than the driver)?

Trucks use more fuel than some cars, but not all so again, it's not a black/white issue like you're making it out to be.

If someone dies from drinking too much water, I'm guessing their entire family will be hurt.

You causing a homeless person to be without housing because you need to park that giant, useless thing.

ROFL. This is hilarious. You think less trucks = less parking spaces = more housing for homeless? Someone is naive as fuck.

You are so angry to be telling me to use my brain. Why are you so angry? Try growing up kid.

So we’ve already found out what your go to defense is when you can’t actually have a debate about these topics. Good job hiding it, calling someone angry won’t mask your own.

But yeah, more space not used by cars is more better. Fewer children run over is more better and less fuel used is more better. Maybe you understand now.

Says the guy who engages in Ad Hominem because he lacks communication skills. Then gets mad when exposed for being mad with nothing else but a YT video for a source.

If you weren't so angry, you'd see that this is actually funny and I've been laughing this entire time so I do find it extra comical for you to say something that boils down to 'No I'm not, you are'.

But go on and tell the world what vehicles they should use.

Sure, you’re laughing, the single downvote is totally not you being angry 😂

Go back to trucking man, you’re not cut out for having an intelligent discussion. Zielig, hoor.

By the way, my request is still out there. If you happen to use your brain once, I won’t treat you like the science-denying hillbilly you’ve proven yourself to be.

Rules

  1. Be nice to each other. Being aggressive or inflammatory towards other users will get you banned. Name calling or obvious trolling falls under that. Hate cars, hate the system, but not people. While some drivers definitely deserve some hate, most of them didn't choose car-centric life out of free will.

  2. No bigotry or hate. Racism, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, chauvinism, fat-shaming, body-shaming, stigmatization of people experiencing homeless or substance users, etc. are not tolerated. Don't use slurs. You can laugh at someone's fragile masculinity without associating it with their body. The correlation between car-culture and body weight is not an excuse for fat-shaming.

  3. Stay on-topic. Submissions should be on-topic to the externalities of car culture in urban development and communities globally. Posting about alternatives to cars and car culture is fine. Don't post literal car fucking.

  4. No traffic violence. Do not post depictions of traffic violence. NSFW or NSFL posts are not allowed. Gawking at crashes is not allowed. Be respectful to people who are a victim of traffic violence or otherwise traumatized by it. News articles about crashes and statistics about traffic violence are allowed. Glorifying traffic violence will get you banned.

  5. No reposts. Before sharing, check if your post isn't a repost. Reposts that add something new are fine. Reposts that are sharing content from somewhere else are fine too.

  6. No misinformation. Masks and vaccines save lives during a pandemic, climate change is real and anthropogenic - and denial of these and other established facts will get you banned. False or highly speculative titles will get your post deleted.

  7. No harassment. Posts that (may) cause harassment, dogpiling or brigading, intentionally or not, will be removed. Please do not post screenshots containing uncensored usernames. Actual harassment, dogpiling or brigading is a bannable offence.

Please report posts and comments that violate our rules.
