That would boil the alcohol right off though... Alcohol-free wine??? Proof that they were their own biggest consumers.
Well, that's kind of the point. It was to reduce the wine to a kind of jelly which wasn't meant to be alcoholic, just sweetener.
Yeah, I get it. Partially said in jest. Just amazing that we're doing the same thing again, sort of.
