Since it's spooky season I thought I'd recommend a short one shot by the same author behind The Me I Used to Know which I recommended about a month ago. The core concept of this one was actually taken and expanded on to give birth to The Me I Used To Know.

Summary from the author:

One year after a heroic sacrifice ended the fight against Salem, Yang and Blake check in on Weiss, only to discover that their friend is deeply unwell.

Why I'm recommending it:

Short one-shot, can be read in a sitting (under 4K words)
Same breezy prose as The Me I Used to Know, makes for easy reading
Creepy, atmospheric, perfect for spooky month

Small warning for ⚠️ major character death ⚠️ if you're not into that kinda thing.

(ᵔ ̮ ᵔ)ゞ Don't worry about getting to all of them. I mean, one of them was a big 200K fic (that's twice the size of the average printed novel, if a quick web search is to be believed). There's not enough activity here yet to have a weekly fanfic thread and I'm not reading all the time so instead I've been posting some recommendations every so often of the better ones I've already read.
