Stop Killing Games:
The consumer movement to stop game publishers from intentionally destroying older games with kill switches.
The goal is to reach 1 million signatures in the EU so that the european parliament will respond to the initiative that then leads to regulation that requires end-of-life plans for games to stay playable.

It's almost like the whole thread is specifically about Sony's PlayStation and their shit policies ..
And yet you somehow turned it into me wanting a PlayStation and talking down to me despite the conversation being about shitty policies.
Why else would you be "devastated" by specifically just Sony's Playstation platform getting rid of fixed media if you didn't own or want to own a PlayStation? If neither of those things apply to you then just sit back and watch them policy themselves into oblivion. My point is (as per my original post) it's not actually devastating, it's just a shit thing, particularly for them and anyone who likes playstations. You seem to see this as the fall of society as a whole because now everything is online. I just see it as just another shit corporation making another shit decision that will ultimately result in less people buying their shit except for idiots who insist their brand represents them for some reason. If you are so "devastated" then get a lawyer and start a class action or lobby your government to do something about it. Or continue screaming into the void, you do you champ.
Time and again companies have made horrendously bad decisions for the consumer and others have soon followed suit, especially in the gaming market. If you can't open your eyes wide enough to understand why a player - and this isn't just PlayStation, it's Sony, a company with fingers in many pies - in an oligopoly putting so much effort into eroding basic ownership principles while everyone else just 'sits back and watches' is bad for the market as a whole, I have nothing more to say to you, you're simply too dim to grasp basic concepts.
Good one champ
