Of course. That reason was to appeal to workers who vaguely understood that socialism had benefited workers immensely, but who didn't want to get murdered by the state for supporting internationalist or post-nationalist socialism (RIP Rosa Luxemburg) or who simply didn't want to get woke.
It was called that for the same reason US Republicans name their evil plans shit like "stop online piracy act" or "protect the children act".
It's because they're evil assholes trying to get away with shit.
Please elucidate us on what was socialist about the NSDAP?
Was it when they killed all the socialists or the union leaders or the communists?
How about when they told capital that they can do what they want as long as the stay loyal to the state?
