Because they are all fake and you need this over the top bullshit to break through the noise.
Iβm sorry, but people are crazy and relationships have so much insanse nonsense going on in them.
I know a board certified psychologist who was in a relationship with a guy that occasionally put on a collar and only wanted to be treated like a dog when wearing it. He actually got her a collar as gift, they dated two separate times.
I mean itβs a minor thing overall but this stuff happens. Intimacy can bring out some deep seated strange behaviors in people.
Pet play is, like, 1.4 out of 10 on the weird scale.

Also a lot of "real" stories being an unreliable narrator that only sees things from their own perspective. People are fucking terrible at noticing their own bullshit.
And where did OP meet Mr Dump Hoskins? Oh this was her old drug dealer back when she was addicted to Xanax and he swears he cleaned up now but she's also not sure that's totally totally true. And she's totally clean except for the alcohol and gambling but the fight wasn't about how she stole all his drug money to pay off a gambling debt... Because he didn't discover that yet.
