Totally forgot about this game, maybe its about time to finnaly buy it and give it a try ^^
It's not really my kind of gameplay but i got it for the visuals alone and the game does look really good. I love the 3D cardboard world artstyle.
Was thinking the same thing. Been looking for some stuff to load on the Deck for downtime at work. Never got around to these before.
I was excited for the first one, played about 65% of it & it became a chore so I quit. Never played the second, figured it was more of the same.
Second this. What broke it for me was the amount of absolutely pointless fights while traveling. And you travel a lot, as the name suggests.
I get trying to make an old school, grindy RPG, but it just fell flat.
Grimstone from UFO 50 is the game I point to for how to do a retro RPG well. Hell, all of UFO 50 is fantastic, I home there's a sequel.
Good to know, I search right now for more light RPGs. Started lufia (or lufia 2 in the us) a couple of days ago and its incredible ungrindy, but still realized that those games more a now and then for me.
