Reviewing the leaked Flock camera map, I see there are planned cameras at the home Depot's in the city. There are also 4 active devices; two near Rosedale, and a couple active in Audi midtown Dealership.

Seems like unacceptable behaviour from a corporation. Anyone know if they are still planned? as you can see the map shows them as planned as of a year ago.
You're right that being flock doesn't matter. They would likely have cameras in their store no matter what.
One issue with flock is that the data is stored off site and can be theoretically accessed by people outside of the relevant security team.
Video recording of all kinds should be banned in all public facing commercial institutions. While there could be arguments made for people just using stores that don't have them in practice that option doesn't always exist.
No store is storing their camera footage onsite unless it's less than ten cameras or it's high security. It's all cloud services.
If you wanna ban private surveillance on private property you're gonna have to change the constitution
Security of person is what allows it to be banned in public facing parts of private property. Not the other way around. They could still keep it in the employee sections and warehouses
Maybe in Europe but that's never gonna happen in USA and it's probably for the best. I don't want to have to blur large portions of the feed outside my house
