Acknowledging that many zealots are projecting insecurities in a performative display of gender expression is essential to understanding how toxic masculinity and patriarchy keep men (and everyone else too) from living authentic, fulfilling lives.

There is absolutely a correlation between conventions and increases in dating apps in an area. I doubt that conservative groups, no matter how closeted, can put up the numbers that the out and proud can put on the board, but there is undeniably a bump in traffc.

I think this "homophobes crash grinder" bit is more of an exaggeration than an urban legend though.
