That's user reported outage data. Not official outage data. People remembering the cliche may cause the outage report to happen.
Those metrics are flimsy at best. And grinder itself reported no outages while common search sites did.
So I call homophobia on that.

Ok I will concede that they dont necessarily have official outages and that anyone can report to down detector.
But, there is an undeniable and officially confirmed spike in usage in the areas around the nazi rallies.
I don't think its homophobic at all to acknowledge that reality. I'm not sure why you're trying to throw that word around like a cudgel.
A significant spike in usage does not imply an outsized population of gays.

Plus, because it's a meme, how much extra traffic does it get by people logging in to a) check if there is an outage and b) see if there are any politicians on there to swipe (or however it works, I don't use these apps)
