They closed small schools and consolidated into bigger schools. Same as US.
Looking at the article, sounds like this had a lot of major negative impacts. Families torn apart because one parent had to move with the kid/school and one stays behind in a small town. That sounds terrible for being a repeated problem.
Oh sure. But the same happens is the US all the time. From the article title, it seemed like they fewer students rather than consolidate into larger schools.
Who the hell says it’s a good thing here either?! Our govt also has been constantly been doing negative things for education. It’s bad all around. Don’t make it a positive anywhere or normalize by comparison.
