ChickenGate-1, If you need to feed the chickens, might as well have fun with it.
I dont have hope this will last more than a few months. The dirt and seeds are rough on the moving parts. I have fun building them though.

A question though: Is the mechanism weak, or is there a safety mech built in, for greedy chickens who will eat until their head is entrapped (or removed)?
Motion sensor that must be clear for 2 minutes. Also it makes a whine sound that scare them instantly so they run further away but then go investigate if it opened.
