First link sounds a lil ai written to me. But it expands a bit more. Most japanese sources aren't mentioning Takaichi at all and to be honest this is a little of "nothing news" just reporting the reaction of someone who doesn't have a reaction. Neither of these are "large" news companies in Japan.

English news about Japan is weird. But even in Japanese watching the hoops they jump through is a little amusing.
