Working as intended.
The goal right now is not to produce future scientists, engineers, or the best and brightest.
the goal right now is to produce barely functional simpletons that can only just barely manage to survive on their own. the kind of people that don't question, don't think, don't analyze, who don't do anything but believe what they're told by people they view as an authority figure.
this is the end goal of decades of attacks on education.
America spends more per student than most other countries yet churns out the worst possible results.
