I thought everybody in the US got a C section for the hospital's convenience. I knew someone who had a lot of trouble finding a location for a natural birth because it would mess up the scheduling and it might occur outside of daytime hours. It was Texas though...
Not everyone. I was under the assumption that C-sections were kinda last resorts. I believe myself and all my siblings were vaginal births, and my child was, too. Granted, the "Texas" part of your comment is probably doing a lot of work.
Yeah, that's not a thing, even here in Texas. It's a last resort that virtually any doctor would prefer natural vs c section.
I will say, they do kind of want you at the very last stages of contractions before you show up at the hospital though.
